Celebrate the New Year !!!

As the “Walleye Capital of the World,” Port Clinton has found a great way to ring in the new year ! The 17th edition of Wylie Walleye’s birthday is set to be bigger and better than before ! Festivities include live entertainment, kid games, street vendors, and of course Wylie Walleye is slated to ‘drop’ in for all of the excitement.

Walleye Madness at Midnight takes place on Madison Street in Downtown Port Clinton.

Sponsored by the Main Street Port Clinton.

Santa will be here to greet the children while downtown businesses are open for shopping, eating, and tours. Carolers will sing throughout the event downtown before Santa is taken by parade to Adams Street Park to light the Community Christmas Tree.

We’re beginning the festivities with a Christmas parade through downtown and including more fun activities than ever! Caroling, Ice Sculptures, Snacks, Deals, and Open Houses at many downtown Businesses. See our schedule of events below for even more planned activities!

We’re excited to have our own Port Clinton High School DECA Marketing Club helping plan fun activities for families to do around town.

Don’t forget to visit the Gift of Lights trees and place your vote for your favorite decorated tree. Ballot envelopes are located at some of your favorite locations downtown. Each vote can be entered for a $1 donation. This year all money earned will be given to the Child Abuse Prevention Program.
